A perfect Compliment to Dancing


 

When we dance, we are practicing a sport, and in sports, athletes need to condition their body to feel their best and perform well. One of the most perfect compliments to a dancer’s body is yoga…or simply the act of breathing and stretching. 

Guided by your breath, which loosens and elongates your body, yoga is a slow combination of moves and poses. Yoga relaxes and relieves the body; strengthens and elongates the muscles; challenges and pushes the mind; rejuvenates and lifts the mood…all while making you a better dancer. Yoga helps to ward off injuries by strengthening stabilizing muscles. Again, it’s a perfect workout to go hand-in-hand with dancing!
